Material Circularity in Practice: Repair, Reuse & Community Action

Join us at BLUE GARAGE @ Materialise Lab on 4 March 2026, 6:00–8:30pm, for an inspiring talk and workshop exploring how repair and reuse drive material circularity. This event brings together community action, education, design, and circular economy thinking to show what sustainability looks like in practice.

The evening will feature guest speakers, short talks, and a Q&A discussing repair and sustainability across community-led projects, education, and industry. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with like-minded people and learn practical approaches to creating a more sustainable future.

Guest speakers include:
Madeline Tanoto – Director of Mads Do & Mend CIC, repair specialist delivering creative mending workshops that reduce textile waste, support wellbeing, and build community.
Alison Reupke – Fashion and textiles consultant with over 25 years’ experience, specialising in responsible supply chains, circularity, emissions reduction, and textile reuse and repair workshops.
Anna Fitzpatrick – Lecturer at London College of Fashion, researching sustainability, cultural studies, and politics, and developing projects that challenge the fashion system’s environmental and social impacts.

We will also be putting repair into practice with a Sashiko Workshop following the talk. Tickets for this need to be booked seperately. Please secure your space as numbers are limited by booking via the link below:
